It has a long tapered neck welded to the pipe and a flat flange face for mating with a corresponding flange.
Weld-weld flanges are commonly used in high-pressure applications and are suitable for extreme temperatures and conditions.
Where pipe or piping systems require extensive welding, they are preferred as the design
creates a smooth transition from the flange face to the pipe and reduces the risk of
stress concentrations at the bottom of the flange.
