Pipe Reducer

A pipe reducer is a fitting used in piping systems to connect two pipes of different diameters. It allows for a smooth transition from a larger pipe to a smaller one (or vice versa), which helps to maintain the flow of fluids or gases while minimizing turbulence and pressure loss.

There are two main types of pipe reducers:

1. Concentric Reducer: This type has a symmetrical shape, with both ends aligned along the same centerline. It is typically used in vertical piping systems and is ideal for applications where the flow needs to be maintained evenly.

2. Eccentric Reducer: This type has an offset design, which allows for a flat side that can be aligned with the bottom of the pipe. This is useful in horizontal piping systems, as it helps to prevent air pockets from forming in the line.
